Reflections of Joy 

Reflections of Joy is a collection of eight miniature paintings inspired by the beauty of Georgian Bay, where colour, water, sky and light come together in an almost dreamlike dance.

I was inspired by the way the colours of the sky are reflected across the water and echoed in the rocks along the shoreline. I imagined the sky swirling with candy-coloured ribbons of pink, turquoise, blue, green and yellow, creating a sense of movement, playfulness and joy.

Using my contemporary pointillist technique, I build each painting with countless dots of colour. Much like beads in my beadwork, each dot becomes a small moment of colour and intention. Together, they create texture, rhythm and an atmosphere that feels alive.

These little paintings are not intended to simply reproduce a landscape. They are my emotional reflection of being surrounded by colour and beauty—a reminder that joy can be found in the simplest moments: watching light dance across the water, seeing colour reflected in the rocks, and allowing the imagination to wander.
